Hogsteading 101 - Fall 2024

Start by exploring our family farm to witness our small-scale direct-to-consumer operation and our Idaho Pasture Pig herd in action. We'll guide you through the essentials of hog care, covering topics such as conformation, vaccination, and fundamental medical care that applies to all hog breeds.

Savor a delicious lunch with your fellow classmates, featuring our very own IPP pork. After lunch, engage in a hands-on demonstration of piglet castration and roaster pig processing. At the end of the day, take home a roaster pig to prepare at your leisure for family and friends. Additionally, take home a medical and castration kit, essential tools for any homesteader raising hogs.

One ticket is valid for a group of two individuals. All attendees must be 18 years or older. We kindly request that you do not bring children or pets to this event.

This event is rain or shine and will be hosted outdoor. You will likely get dirty from something or another. Please dress accordingly.

In case of severe weather conditions, an alternate date has been scheduled for November 16, 2024.
